“Welcome to Strandcamping Mentl. Surrounded by the mountain Gerlitzen and “”The Ossiacher Tauern”” (a mountain range) the idyllic lake Ossiacher See is located in the centre of Carinthia. Clear water, warm water-temperature (28°C), clean air and southern climate will please campers and nature-lovers. The well looked after camp site provides parking spaces parcelled out for campers with electricity, partly a direct water supply point and sewer. There is also a modern, heated sanitation facility with a nursing room for babies, single washing-cubicles; adapted for handicapped people; washing-machines, tumble dryer, ironing facility. For children we provide two playgrounds, a water-slide and entertainment. For our sporty guests, hiking- and cycling-tours (many cycleways), morning exercises and various ball games are offered. Fishermen will love Ossiacher See. In our own fish stock you can catch pikes, carps, pike-perches, catfish, eels and more. In July and August weekly barbecue parties with live-music take place in the evening. Café-restaurant Tamara offers national and international cuisine. The camp site itself provides a buffet. Various sights, destinations and hikes are nearby because of the central location of the camping ground. With the “”Kärnten-Card”” you can visit these destinations and use the shipping and mountain railway and pay a reasonable flat rate.
