Half Island is an ideal place to stay. Very quiet and close to the main road with beautiful Buna river next to you. Really enjoyed long and peaceful nights by the shore with very friendly and energetic owners that treat you like a family. The place is very clean especially restrooms. Reasonable fees for driving to nearby attractions (Blagaj, Pocitelj, Mostar). Best place for the price and service. Will definitely come back.
Quiet; very clean; friendly owners; close by to all attractions;

Our stay at River Camp Half Island was unforgettable. We loved the tranquility of the location and the chance to camp right by the magical river Buna. The owners treat you like family and are incredible hosts. It’s a quick trip from the camp to many sights, including Mostar amongst many others. We easily filled two days. All facilities are kept impeccably clean.

The friendliest hosts I have met while camping in the Balkans! Great location on the river and off of the main road, quite peaceful. Wifi available all over, clean kitchen and bathroom facilities. Can even use the washing machine for 3 euro. Would love to stay here again if I am back around Mostar!

If you are going to visit Mostar, this camp site certainly is a great choise. Gaga and his mother warmly welcomed us to the camp site and made our stay very enjoyable. The camp itself is nice, small and clean and in future even going to be better according to Gaga and his expansion plans.
Fantastic host and clean.
A lot of ants at our lodge.
One of the best places to stay in Bosnië Herzegovina! Calm, beautiful nature and very friendly owner! We visited a lot of places because of Gaga, he went out of his way to satisfy us and give us a lot of information.
owner, relaxing surroundings
Honestly, if you’re making a road, bike or what kind of trip you’re usually making, and you’re planning to see Mostar, go to River Camp “Half Island”! It might be a struggle to find, but once you actually know what kind of signs you should be looking for… And if you’re able to ignore your thoughts that that road will lead you nowhere, even when you’re following the signs. Then keep on going and you’ll be surprised by the beauty and pure goodness of this place right in the middle of nowhere!
"straight to the heart"
I stayed on this campsite last month with a friend and our small campervan. I really enjoyed my stay with Gaga and his mother and experienced some true hospitality. They check on you during the day to make sure you're allright, and even come by to give you some fresh cherries, or take you to Mostar if you want. We stayed an extra day to spend the night with them! Thanks a lot for a great stay!

The campsite is right by the river. You can actually hear some rapids nearby constantly. Very peaceful! The owner and mom team are very friendly and helpful. Once your gps said you have arrived, get off the to the side road and follow the sign "camp" .
Peaceful, clean, friendly management.
May be difficult to find until you see the red "camping" signs. Worth the effort!
We came across Half Island while heading for the camp sites closer to Mostar, we're so glad that we stopped. It's a small family run camp site and the owners are happy to share lots of useful information about the surrounding area and made us feel very much at home. There are no pitches which creates a very relaxed atmosphere. Mostar and Blagj are close by by bike or car and there is a well stocked shop and nice looking restaurant within walking distance.
I imagine that if it was busy there could be a bit of a queue for the showers and toilets, but this was not a problem when we stayed.
This is a unique camp site in the whole of Europe, if you want a pool and site shop etc. then this is not the place for you, but if you want a quiet, relaxed stay near the river and close to the tourist attractions of the local area then you really should check this place out.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, Kieran & Natasha
This is one of the best camping places i have ever been(and i've been through alot). It's a place of allmost untouched nature, and that's why it's still in my good memory. The river Buna is absolutely amazing, and one of the things that impressed me the most is,the spring of river Buna is one of the biggest springs in Europe! I could write the whole day about this Camp, but, come and see it yourselves, you will not regret it. Greetings for the Hosts,i'll see you again next year.
