Site is well laid out with electric and water to cater for Motorhomes and Caravans. It is small and very peaceful and quiet set in a National Park. I have stayed at this site twice so highly recommend it. The shower/toilet block is the cleanest and most modern i've seen and very impressive...better than what some may have in a house! There is a small Restaurant and bar 5 minute walk from the site which does a good Goulash, cold beers, and Espresso but if you want to cook you will need to buy supplies from a local shop. Campsite Director Jovan (he speaks excellent English) is an extremely friendly and helpful guy. The town of Sremska Mitrovica is well worth a visit too. This is the only place you can find Donkey Cheese made and sold...you won't find it anywhere else so is a unique experience.
Ultra clean. Quiet. Extremely friendly and well run site. If coming to Serbia then Camping Zasavica is a must.

Nice small camp, with all needed facilities..bathroom and restroom blocks are very clean, and lot of pitches are in shade of trees, also, all pitches have current and water connection. The owner was very nice and talkative man, he gave us a lot of useful informatons about Zasavica...we've spent a nice weekend and we will return again.
** 2016 Update - Camping site is the best in this part of Europe. Camp Director will provide you any information about camping site, nature park, excursions, visits to Sremska Mitrovica, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Fruska gora, western Serbia, Bosnia ... There are a large number of destinations that can be visited from this location. Local specialties, local wines and brandies are excellent and affordable.
** 2015 Update - Odlicna usluga, cisto, mirno mesto. Uzivanje u prirodi!
Ocene govore o ovoj destinaciji. Idealno mesto. Posebno preporučujem novim kamperima. Kampom upravljaju odlični ljudi koji su obezbedili sve uslove za odmor i uživanje u parku prirode.

Nice and quiet camping. Very good accommodation. Mr. Zdravko is perfect guy. The nature and the city is also very impressive.
We finally made it to Camp Zasavica at around 6pm and i was really (kind of) tired. We were met by a big chubby man with a mustache who told us he was happy to see us and started waving his arms. I thought it was the police, but it turns out he's the local welcome ambassador and everybody calls him "Director" because he sits in a fancy chair. Anyway, it was well worth the drive, Herman had followed the easy signs from the highway, and the park is beautiful. The campsite is all dicky and spotless, with fab showers and those low flow toilets the Greens keep threatening to install all over London. Well Camp Zasavica is totally modern, with automatic sensor water faucets and showers so there's no water wasted, and they have their own solar panels on the roof of the Town Hall, which is like this big brick open walled play room with a fireplace and the kids immediately jumped all over the benches and tables. Everything was made of solid oak, like a Bigfoot's living room, and you couldn't move a thing in there without three guys like Herman. The camp grounds are pretty big, and we found a spot in the shade, with plenty of space for lawnchairs and the kids badminton net and our barbecue and Dennis to run around (Dennis is our black Lab), and Mr. Pokey (that's our rare Burmese turtle we keep as a service animal for Herman's autism.) So when we finally heard about the fisherman's bog, the donkey farm, and the petting zoo (complete with rare Ukrainian long horned cattle!), we postponed the kids' dental appointments, and stayed the rest of the week. Check out my facebook page for pictures with the kids riding the donkeys, they're adorable.
Love the close contact with pure, unspoilt countrysides and wetlands.
Can't think of any right now.
I spend almost 2 weeks in this great camping area. Easy to access, nature reserve area around is amazing for photography, sightseeing and walking.
The best camping area in Serbia.
Nature around, clean, quality and friendly staff
We discovered Zasavica three years ago. This year we bought a camper, and out of 16 trips that we took, we were so impressed with this location so we came back four times. This is the place that my children call “other home”. It is quiet, clean, relaxing. There is a lot to see here also, nature park Zasavica, Sremska Mitrovica is close by where you can see Roman Imperial city and Belgrade, the capital, is only an hour away.
Simply you have to visit it.
Clean air, quiet, relaxing, you feel like at home :)

We have been passing by the Zasavica signs for a long time before we went online to check what it was. After viewing the web page, we decided to give it a try.
We arrived late night on Thursday, after work. It was raining cats and dogs and we were a bit worried what will we find there. All of our doubts flew right out of the window when we reached the site. A great welcome, helping us get the most suitable pitch for what we wanted, showing us around and helping us set up our small camp. In the morning, fortunately without rain, we were welcomed by the camp manager, Jovan, who told us about the place (nature reservation) and also about the nearby town of Sremska Mitrovica.
We spent three nights and two full days there. Pitches are clean, well organised and spacious. Sanitary facilities (toilets, showers) are excellent (this was definitively one of the cleanest places we have ever been to). There is a decently equipped kitchen at the disposal of guests (cooker, sinks and fridge, with some glasses and cutlery - which you, anyhow, bring along, so no need for that). A large place close to the kitchen, something like an open lounge, is also at the disposal of guests (there is fireplace, several tables and benches, and even a tv with a number of channels, and a dvd player). In this "lounge area) you will also find many guidebooks to help you around the area, or give you info on places in the country and the Balkans.
On the side of activities there, we went around the reservation; long walks, boat tour, and also visited the town. A lot of stuff to see and things to do.
We had a dinner (home made goulash, choice of beef, pork and donkey meat), in the reservation, and were welcomed to walk around the place, take photos and enjoy. The boat tour we took included a guide who told us a lot of interesting things about the place.
The town, Sr. Mitrovica, which is about 10 km away, offered excavations of Roman palace, and a lovely beach along the river. Nice afternoon spent there! The place can easily be reached on a bicycle, as the area is all flat. Unfortunately, no bikes were available in the camp, and we did not bring ours, so did not get to enjoy the rides - next time :)
All in all, this is one of the best camping places we have seen in the Balkans and would definitively recommend it for both overnight and a longer stay. We will surely go back!
PS: true, there is no shop nearby, i.e. you can not just go to a shop down the road if you forgot a toothbrush, or anything, but the management comes around every evening asking if you need anything to be brought to you in the morning (bread, milk, anything), and they are making sure people do not miss on anything. So, I did put it as a disadvantage, but it is not really a big thing!
Clean, well organised, pet friendly, offers extra facilities (kitchen, lounge area)
No shop nearby (have to remember to bring all you need). Other than that, really, no disadvantages at all!
Hallo liebe Zasavica Fans. Dear fans of Zasavica. Last week we spent two nights in Zasavica. Is was like always: Super !! There is absolutely nothing to see from the flood which happend a few weeks ago. The camp, the surroundigs and Sremska Mitrovica was not touched by the flood. The camp is open normal.
Very friendly staff. The best sanitary facilities in Serbia. Very calm and a top spot for relaxing. The Nationalpark is close. 3 min Walk.
You cannot walk to the next shop.
